St Cecilia’s College - school site
Oakgrove Integrated College - school site
Lisneal College - school site
The proposal has two main strands, the first of which consists of mixed classes in dance, drama and music for post-16 pupils, initially with oakgrove Integrated College in year 1, then including Lisneal College in Years 2 and 3. This builds on the specialist activity of St Cecilia’s. In addition to the specialism, Pupils are given the opportunity to take a Diploma in Child Development.
In order to engage collaboration between the schools it is proposed to join the Oakgrive Integrated College with an existing activity involving a joint visit to the WW1 museum in Belgium and related projects. Linked to this, the school will develop an extra-curricular GCSE course on journalism run in conjunction with a local NGO, and both will be connected to a Remembrance Service to involve parents.
