The East Belfast Sharing Education Programme involves schools from across the City in a series of shared curricular classes and extra-curricular activities. The partnership has provided new and innovative methodologies for teaching key curricular subjects such as Citizenship, ICT and Science.

Over 900 pupils have benefited from shared classes and activities over the last three years.

Learning Focus: The partnership has developed innovative, technology-based solutions to the delivery of collaborative classes and has demonstrated new ways to utilise existing technologies that could be adopted by schools across Northern Ireland. Throughout the 4th Year of the programme pupils from the schools will be taking part in a number of activities, mainly focused on expertise in ICT and Performing Arts. Technology will be used to overcome the challenge of distance as most learning will be carried out by virtual means through the use of shared blogs, forums and video-conferencing.
